The tallest statue in the world will appear in India

A sculpture depicting Shiva (one of the three main gods in Hinduism) will be erected in northwest India before the end of the year. According to experts, the statue will be the tallest of all images of Shiva, and one of the tallest statues in the whole world - the expected height of the sculpture will be about 106 meters.

Currently, construction is already in full swing in the state. Rajasthan in northwest India, in the city Nathdwara. Complete "Statue of Faith" - the official name of the sculpture - is planned for the summer of this year.

The structure will feature an image of the god Shiva holding a ritual trident, and will include three viewing galleries for visitors, accessible via elevators connecting the viewing platforms.

According to preliminary estimates, the sculpture under construction will take fourth place among the tallest statues in the world. Second only to Statue of Unity, towering over India at 182 m., a statue tall 116 m. with an image of Buddha (called Lezhong-Sasazha), located in Myanmar, as well as a statue Buddha Vairochana height in 108 m. in the People's Republic of China (the heights of statues are measured without taking into account the pedestal).
