Rapid growth in tourist flows to Indonesia
The report of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, provided for the period January-July 2019, speaks of 88720 tourists who came from Russia. This is 17% more than a year earlier. In terms of the growth rate of the flow of tourists to Indonesia, Russia confidently ranks first among other European countries.

The second place among popular destinations belongs to the capital of Indonesia - Jakarta. A visit to the metropolis is associated with business trips or the desire to explore the life of one of the largest cities in the world, ranking 3rd in population, after Tokyo and Guangzhou. People come here to visit restaurants with traditional cuisine, shopping, relaxing on the Pulau Seribu islands, and also for safari. Batam and Bintan are the destination that closes the top three. These green islands have long been popular among tourists from Europe, but Russians previously showed little interest. Now the situation is changing, and over the past year the direction has become one of the most popular.
Among the cities attractive to tourists, it stands out Yogyakarta, which is located in the center Me you. This is a cultural destination with many attractions including temples on a grand scale - Borobudur and Prambanan. Here are batik workshops, as well as the world-famous shadow theater.
